Hi soul traveler,

Today, I have a workshop for you to help you tap into your clarity and courage.

I’m extremely excited about the main process you will learn in this workshop. It’s called Making Friends with Your Fears, and it can help you create a whole different relationship to your fear, one that is based on cooperation, not conflict.

Why is it important to befriend your fear?

Fear is something that often gets in the way of what people most want. Have you ever wanted to do something—for instance, start a business, give a speech, or write a book—but felt blocked by fear?

This is extremely common and it’s not a bad thing. Often, your fear is actually an indicator that you’re on the right path. (People tend to experience a lot of fear around doing things that are very meaningful to them.)

However, just because fear isn’t bad doesn’t mean that it can’t get in the way. This tends to happen when people view their fear as an adversary. In that case, fear tends to build and build.

But what if you could turn your fear from an adversary into an ally? What if your fear could help you mitigate risks, without stopping you from doing what you most want to do? What if you could reduce your fear (without suppressing it) and move forward with more ease?

With the help of the process Making Friends with Your Fears, you can!

When I take coaching clients through this process, I often ask them to rate their fear at the beginning.

Let’s say someone is afraid to raise their prices and initially, their fear about doing that is an 8 or 9 (on a scale of 1-10, where 10 is the highest). It’s not unusual for them to go down to a 3 or 4 within the span of 15 minutes.

That’s how powerful this process is!

The creator of this process is Dr. Brian Whetten. I learned this process directly from him, almost a decade ago. My husband and I continue to use this tool regularly in our personal life, as it’s just that helpful.

How to go through this workshop:

If you went through this workshop in one setting, it would probably take you about 1.5 hours. You can also break this up into 2 sections.

The workshop structure is:

  • Video 1 (~23 minutes)

  • Worksheet 1 (you can go through this alone or with a partner)

  • Video 2 (~23 minutes)

  • Worksheet 2 (you can go through this alone or with a partner)

This workshop includes some partner exercises. While it’s not necessary to do them to learn the material, it does make it more fun.

If you want to go through this with another person, you have the following options:

  • If someone in your household is open to doing these exercises with you, you are welcome to watch the videos together with them.

  • If a friend of yours volunteers to do this together, send me a message with their email and I will gift them a 30-day subscription so they can watch the videos on their own.

  • You can schedule a free, introductory joyful growth call with me here, and I will personally coach you through them. đŸ€—
